Materials
S316 stainless steel is a ship grade austenitic stainless steel, which means it has very high corrosion resistance
Aluminium grade AL7075-T7351 is aircraft grade aluminium and one of the strongest aluminium alloys available with a 45% higher yield strength than austenitic stainless steels
Carbon fiber is exceptionally lightweight, almost as light as any plastic, but is extremely strong and rigid. The weight of carbon fiber is about 60% of the weight of aluminum
N52 is currently the strongest grade of neodymium
Surface finishes
The corrosion resistance of the product is extremely important to guarantee the longevity of the bipod. The aluminium is protected by a hard black anodization. This is a very robust and durable finish. This coating is harder than tool steel, with a hardness of 65 Rockwell C, where hardness is necessary for dimensional stability combined with long life
