The new generation Fenix HM61R Amber rechargeable headlamp offers up to 1600 lumens (ANSI) of neutral white light (4500K) with a range of up to 162 meters. It is also equipped with red Everlight LEDs. It is powered by a single rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery pack with a 3400 mAh capacity that recharges directly in the flashlight via a magnetic connector; in an emergency, two disposable CR123A lithium batteries can also be used to power the flashlight. In addition, the battery has a built-in USB-C connector, so it can be easily charged outside the headlamp without the magnetic cable. There is a built-in indicator LED in the control button so you will always know when to recharge the battery. The end of the flashlight is magnetic, so it can easily be attached to anything metal. The HM61R has eight lighting modes that allow you to choose between high power and long lasting(up to 400 hours). The lamp is powered by a digitally regulated constant current to guarantee constant light output even when the voltage in the batteries is reduced (when they are slowly discharging).
The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof according to IP68 standard up to a depth of 2 meters under water. The practicality of the headlamp is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head holder and use it as a pocket or work torch. Additionally, the headlamp is complete with a steel removable clip, so you can easily attach it to your pocket or strap. The Fenix HM61R multi-functional flashlight is the ideal companion for a variety of sporting activities, outdoor and home trips, and work.
All luminaire parameters (lumen output, battery run time, waterproof, range and shockproof) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.
There may be a black insulating cap inside the battery pack at the factory. Remove it from the battery pack before first use.
As long as the headlamp is switched on, the power modes can be cycled through in the sequence 5 - 50 - 150 - 400 - 1600 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red 1 lumen - red 10 lumens - red flash (when switched on to red light) by briefly pressing the button. The lamp has a memory and will always switch on in the last set mode (applies to both white and red light, except for the highest mode of 1600 lumens, when it will switch on in 400 lumens mode).
When the headlamp isswitched on, it is possible to switch between white and red light by holding the side button for 1.2 seconds.
Battery charge indication: when the headlamp is switched off, one short press of the button turns on the battery charge indication for 3 seconds, which is shown by the coloured backlight of the button:
Indication only works properly with a rechargeable 18650 battery.
Overheat protection: when using the flashlight on high power modes for long periods of time, a large amount of heat will accumulate. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 65°C or higher, it will automatically reduce the power to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 65 °C, it will then allow the user to select high modes again.
Charging: plug the charging cable into the USB connector of a computer, mains adapter or car. Attach the cable to the charging plate on the headlamp, it attaches itself with magnets. During charging, the indicator light in the button glows red, when charging is complete it turns green. During charging, all red light modes and all white light modes except the highest one can be used, but the charging time will be adequately extended. Charging a fully discharged Fenix ARB-L18-3400U V2.0 battery takes approximately 4 hours.
Low battery alert: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to lower power modes. If this occurs at low power, the battery charge indicator will flash to remind you to recharge or replace the battery in a timely manner. Note: This feature is only active with a rechargeable Li-ion 18650 battery pack.
Lock the headlamp against unwanted switching on: when the headlamp is off, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds, the flashlight will flash four times in red mode to indicate the locked status.
Unlock: when the headlamp is locked, press the side switch for 3 seconds, the lamp will flash four times in red to activate the Eco white light mode. If the headlamp is locked, it will flash four times when the switches are clicked or pressed briefly to indicate the locked state. Unintentional switching on in the boot can also be prevented by loosening the headlamp battery cap a quarter turn, this breaks the electrical contact and the headlamp cannot be switched on.
