Ergonomics of the NUM'AXES 8 x 56 binoculars

  • Color: Black
  • Dimensions: 167 x 148 x 66 mm
  • Weight: 1 056 g
  • Soft, retractable eyepieces provide additional comfort, especially for eyeglass users
  • Includes case, strap and microfibre cleaning cloth

Interpupillary distance adjustment

  • The distance between the two eyes, also called "interpupillary distance", varies from person to person.
  • For optimal viewing comfort, your eyes need to be perfectly in front of the lenses
  • To do this, hold the binoculars normally, as if you were looking into the distance, and then adjust the spacing between the eyepieces by moving the tubes closer together or farther apart until you see a single consistent image
  • Always return the binoculars to this position before using them

Adjusting the focus

  • Choose the object you want to observe and look at it through the binoculars
  • Close your right eye and use your left eye to focus on the selected object. Rotate the center focus wheel until you get a clear, sharp image
  • Open the right eye and close the left eye. Focus on the subject with the right eye. Rotate the diopter correction ring until you get a clear and sharp image. Write down the dioptric correction you have just made for later reference
  • Your binoculars are now adjusted to your vision. Focusing at any distance can now be done just by turning the central focusing wheel

Observing with or without glasses

  • These binoculars feature soft, retractable eyepieces designed for your comfort and eliminate any external light
  • For users who do not wear glasses: push the eyepieces upward by turning them counterclockwise to get enough distance between your eye and the eyepiece.
  • For users who wear glasses: make sure the eyepieces are folded down. This brings your eyes closer to the eyepieces, allowing you to see the entire field of view. To lower the eyepieces, turn them clockwise

Care instructions

  • Clean the outer lenses of the binoculars regularly with the microfiber cloth supplied with the product or a soft, clean cloth. Blow gently on the lenses to create a slight mist, then gently wipe with the cloth in a circular motion
  • For a more thorough cleaning, use a lens cloth and photographic lens cleaning fluid or isopropyl alcohol. Always apply the liquid to the cloth and never directly to the lens.
  • Using a coarse cloth or rubbing the lenses unnecessarily can scratch them and ultimately cause irreversible damage
  • Never disassemble the binoculars to try to clean the inside.
