NORDIK ROE deer decoy

This decoy is specially developed for decoying deer. It is pre-tuned for all four main sounds you need.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Simply slide the rubber ring between the two outermost notches on the decoy to change the sound. This decoy has a dual sound board that is used for better volume control. The more you cover the hole on the bottom of the decoy with your thumb, the less loud the sound will be. Alternate the "fawn and doe making contact" sounds with the "excited fawn" or "fawn being fawned" sounds for a few minutes and then repeat after about 20-30 minutes in the same habitat.

Doe and fawn make contact sounds: Place a rubber ring in the first (farthest) notch from the decoy body and inhale briefly into the decoy for make contact sounds. To imitate the sounds made by a doe, bite into the decoy through the rubber ring with your teeth and the sound made will be higher pitched.

Sounds of an excited rutting doe: Place the ring in the second notch. Put your teeth into the loose first notch and gently bite the diaphragm against the body of the decoy. Place the lips on the rubber ring in the second notch and blow. The further you bite the diaphragm away from the rubber ring, the sound will be higher (young doe) and vice versa (old doe).

The sound of a fawn being fawned: Follow the same procedure as for imitating the sounds of an excited rutting doe, but immediately release the squeeze of the teeth and lips after blowing into the decoy. This will give you the voice of a doe that is currently being hunted by a fawn called a geschreck. Then alternate the shorter sounds of an excited rutting doe with the longer sounds of a fawn being fledged.
