Fenix E18R V2.0 GE Rechargeable Flashlight - Nebula

The Fenix E18R V2.0 is a rechargeable miniature pocket LED flashlight with short-term extreme output of up to 1200 lumens (ANSI). This model uses the top-of-the-line Luminus SST-40 diode as the light source. With a length of only 67 millimeters and a weight of 56 grams (including battery), it can be carried with you at all times - in your pocket, on your keys or in your handbag. It is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery RCR123A, which can becharged in the flashlight via USB-C connector from any USB source (e.g. computer, powerbank, USB source in the car). A disposable CR123A battery can also be used in an emergency.

Of course, the high quality of the design, durability and waterproofness is a matter of course. The flashlight is equipped with a removable clip and the end cap is magnetic. A unique innovation is the special collimator, which produces a light cone with a surprising range of 146 meters. The collimator is made with technology used in the automotive industry and its height is only 3 millimeters, which is less than half that of commonly used optics. All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery life, waterproofness, range and shock resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use

Hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds to switch on or off. You can switch power modes at any time during operation by pressing the side button. To switch to flash mode, hold the side button for approximately 1.2 seconds.

The control button can be locked to prevent spontaneous switching on, e.g. when transporting in luggage - press the control button twice quickly (within 0.5 seconds). To unlock, press the button again twice quickly.

Intelligent overheating protection - because such a small luminaire achieves such an extreme output of 1200 lumens, it does not overheat. If the temperature exceeds 60°C, the power is automatically reduced. As soon as the temperature drops below 60 °C, the highest output can be used again.

Charging - remove the rubber cap of the charging connector on the side of the lamp and plug in the supplied cable (USB-C connector), plug the other end of the cable into a computer or a USB adapter to the mains or car. During charging, the indicator LED flashes faintly red. When fully charged, it will light up green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Indication of battery charge status - when the flashlight is switched off, a short press of the side button activates the indication LED in the side button of the flashlight for three seconds. As long as the indicator LED is green, the battery is more than 85% charged. Green flashing indicates 50-85% capacity. If it glows red, it is 25-50% charged. Red flashing indicates less than 25% battery capacity remaining.

Low battery warning (only functional when using Li-ion RCR123A) - the flashlight will gradually automatically switch to the lowest mode and the indicator LED in the button will start flashing red.

Warning

• Do not disassemble the sealed part in the flashlight head by yourself, it will violate the warranty.
• Use only high quality 3V CR123A batteries and RCR123A Li-ion batteries to avoid damaging the lamp due to, for example, battery leakage.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. By following these rules, the lantern will be properly protected against water.
• If the lantern flickers, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is dead - charge it.
  • The contacts inside the lantern are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
  • The body of the lamp is loose, tighten it.
