You can set the exact sharpening angle in the range of 12-24 degrees, which is why it is an ideal solution for anyone who enjoys precise sharpening. The sharpener offers 2 grit levels, coarse (360 grit) and fine (1000 grit). With a grit of 360 (coarse), you can sharpen even very dull knives, and the grit of 1000 grit (fine) is intended for subsequent sharpening for greater sharpness or maintaining sharpness. A separate groove marked scissors is intended for sharpening scissors.
